Feminism in Pakistan By Sana Shahzeib

The word “Feminism” basically refers to the equal standing of both men and women in society. Feminism is an approach to help women raise their status and can be on equal footing with any other man. In Pakistan, it was supposed by the less educated class that this approach might just be “anti-Islamic” and thus they refuse to adopt this method.

In fact, Islam has not obstructed women. Women have been given their rights and failing to realize this fact might be one of the reasons why today we fail to build a great nation. This approach degrades neither men nor women. It only helps women become a more contributing part of society. Giving feminism a chance might actually be a good approach for our nation

Has Justice Prevailed? by Maryam Saadat

The Supreme Court has sentenced the Rapist of young Zainab to death. This case has come to a conclusion that the murderer would be hanged to death. But by doing so, will this case come to an end? Is this the justice the general public wanted? Will by doing so, the justice prevail? If he is hanged, will it bring about horror in the hearts of the other murderers, that they would ultimately stop committing such heinous crimes?
I think otherwise. The other terrors that lurk in the streets probably eyeing another victim will never learn if the case conclude as simple as that. This will not carve a path for a brighter future. The higher ups need to consider this more carefully.
